| Summary, etc. | The aim of the expedition was to explore the mountaineering possibilities of a little-visited area of<br/>East Greenland, known as Renland, and to make Alpine and rock climbing ascents of major<br/>unclimbed peaks in the area, establishing new routes where possible. In addition to the climbing<br/>focus our intention was to collect plants and record associated information in the areas to the north<br/>and south of the Edward Bailey glacier on Renland as a contribution to a survey of flora (flowering<br/>plants and ferns) of the central fjord region of Greenland which was initiated in 1961 by Dr.<br/>Geoffrey Halliday. |
