<br/><br/> Bound run of the weekly newspaper "Journal de Lausanne", from issue 1 (2 December 1786) - 57 (29 December 1787), together with a one-page prospectus for the Dictionnaire de l'Academie Francoise (6 April 1787).<br/>A typed list inside the front cover indicates that these newspapers were collected because of their relevance to the first ascent of Mont Blanc in August 1786; they contain articles re de Saussure, Balmat, Bourrit and Paccard.<br/>  Volume acquired by Henry Montagnier.
